Supporting First Responders and Communities Through Eastern VA CERT

River Counties Community Foundation awarded a grant to Eastern VA CERT to provide blankets for emergency shelters and to support professional rescuers when residents are impacted and in need. These blankets play an important role in community response efforts, offering warmth and comfort during emergencies.

We have received positive feedback and confirmation that the blankets are actively being used in the field by response teams and we are prepared for that next disaster so residents have a cot and blanket. This support helps ensure that both residents and professional rescuers have essential resources available when they are needed most.

River Counties Community Foundation is committed to continuing support for agencies like Eastern VA CERT, helping them maintain a consistent supply of critical materials for emergency response. We proudly stand behind the professional rescuers who work tirelessly to protect and serve our communities.
